1966 Chevrolet C10
This extraordinary one-owner ’66 Chevrolet C10 pickup that has been a lifetime resident of our Concord/Kannapolis region. It received a professional restoration with very minor mechanical enhancements in 2015. Its Deep Red finish is in excellent condition as is all chrome and stainless. The stunning bed floor is beautifully finished with medium oak planks and stainless strips/trim. The interior presents better than new. Seating has been reupholstered in two shades of pleated tan vinyl and is much more appealing than the factory design. Seat belts, dark tan loop carpeting and an AM/FM sound system complete the interior package. Horsepower is the factory 235ci straight six, an engine that has moved Chevys for decades. It sits in a spotless engine compartment and looks much like it did on the showroom floor. The ‘Stovebolt’ is backed by a three speed manual transmission and 2.73:1 rear gearing. The owner replaced the original shift linkage with a Hurst “Indy’ floor shift. Electrics are a 12-volt alternator-based system and brakes are 4-wheel manual drum. There is a new custom exhaust system and factory 15” steel wheels with ‘dog-dish’ hubcaps mount 235×75/15 Goodyear Wrangler radials.
